Get Your Glam On!

Eyelash Extensions!!
Everyone told me for months how amazing Eyelash extensions were and I was never a believer until I caved and got them done about a year ago, I am defiantly a believer now! They are amazing! I have really curly natural lashes and before I would spend at least 10 minutes applying mascara and know I apply on my bottom lashes and I am out the door. I think this is one thing I will always have done.

I have been really struggling with finding a good foundation that covers, moisturizes and actually stays on my face and that doesn't look to thick. I think I have spent over $150. this year just trying out new foundations from MAC, Nars, Laura Mercier, Stila, You name I have tried it. I hated them all until my esthetician recommended this brand and I tried it and I am SOLD! It is really creamy and has great colors and coverage. Since using it my skin has cleared up and I have less breakouts. I also love Jane Iredale's powder for touch ups. I bought mine at Alpine Aesthetics in Highland for $36. But I am sure you can find it on Amazon.

Meliss: This post is for you:)
It is so dry in Utah and my skin feels like it is screaming for moisture all the time. I was having a really hard time finding a moisturizer that was thicker and hydrated well without leaving my face like a slip and slid. I found Bioelements and this is my new favorite thing! It is just enough moisture without leaving my face oily. They have a ton of options to choose from for all different skin types, this is just my personal favorite.

Okay ladies the older you get, the more unwanted hair we get......Or at least I do! I hated it and was constantly self conscious of it and with summer around the corner it was time to part our ways...BYE BYE Hair! I have been going to Alpine Aesthetics in Highland and they are great. This spa is cute and comfortable and the staff make you feel right at home! They also have amazing laser machines that don't hurt and are very effective. I have nothing bad to say about laser hair removal or the Alpine Aesthetics, other than it could possibly be addicting, which could be bad or good:)

Some of my Favorite Things!

I was introduced to Shallac a couple of months ago and it is my new favorite thing! The colors are great and it stays on for weeks. I am pretty picky when it comes to my nails and I love that Shallac is always shinny, and is high in pigment so you only have to paint 2 coats max! My favorite color is Tropix.

I am in love with Ombre hair coloring! It has been my most favorite hair color that I have ever had. I'm thinking I am going to rich en mine up to look like this. If only I looked like her:) One day!

I get asked all the time what I curl my hair with....This is my best-friend! It is the Enzo milano Curling rod. I love it because I can take huge sections and curl my head in about five minutes.....YES ladies FIVE minutes! It creates a more relaxed curl and it will last for 3+ days. They are a little spendy but well worth the $$$$$! This curling rod will create curls like the picture above.

OH Clarisonic I love you! I bought one of these about a year ago and it has changed my life forever! I can't believe how well it cleans your face and how much dirt it gets out. Since I have been using this I have less breakouts and my face thanks me everyday for using it:) I bought mine at Nordstrom but I know that ULTA Beauty sells them and you can print off a 20% off coupon.

February!

After 9 years of being together I was running out ideas for Valentines Day:(. My sister is so crafty and created one of these date books for her husband and I fell in love with the idea and had to steal it and make one for Maic.
I think to date it is the best gift I have ever given him. It was a really fun project and hard, because I could only work on it when Maic was at work and I would have to take everything out and hurry and put it all away before he would get home.
I thought of all the places we like to go and I went and bought gift cards to all of those places. It was so fun because it gave us a full year worth of paid dates. It was the gift that kept giving. I think over all it took me over 20 hours to make this, and I would do it all again for my man!

Christmas Time!

Christmas is my favorite holiday and it is always so much fun to decorate the house and make lots of fun holiday treats. Since my mom was on her mission is was a bit of a different Christmas. It was pretty quiet and Maic and I were able to spend Christmas by ourselves which was really good, we were able to come closer to our savior and each other.

Really Catching Up!!!

It has been so long! Now that I really know how to blog I think I can try to do it more often. I have so much to post that I am not sure where to start. A lot has happened in the last couple of years, I won't go into detail about everything but I will post small things so you can see what we have been up too.

Sister Shirley Edwards returns home!

My mom finally returned home from her LDS Mission in Boston, MA. We missed her so much while she was busy serving the lord and I couldn't wait for her to come home. My mom is such a great example to me, I am so grateful to have her as my mother and truly feel that the lord knew what he was doing in heaven when he sent me to her. She doesn't just teach me how to be a good person she always shows me how by leading by example. I hope that when Maic and I are retired we are able to serve the lord and go on a mission, and hopefully touch as many lives as my mother did.

Catching up!!!!

OK! So I have been really bad about blogging. I was so excited to start a blog and then I got really overwhelmed and I wasn't really sure how to do all of this, but I think I have learned the basics(thanks Mindy for all of your help!)

I will try to catch you up with what has been going on in our lives the last few months without dragging it out to much.
We have been supper busy lately Maic is working lots and I am working doing all my odd projects and fun crafty things, and of course hair and makeup. I'll post pictures soon, so you can see what I have been making.
In November we decided to move into my mom's house so we could save some extra money so we can move forward on trying to get pregnant. So far so good my doctor has me on all sorts of drugs but whatever they are they seem to be doing what they are suppose to! (Which is making me nauseous) We are keeping our finger's crossed and hoping for the best. I feel very blessed for all that I have now, so I shouldn't complain that it is taking so long for us to get a little addition here I guess I just need to be patient and have faith that we will be blessed with a family. Maic is so good about this he always tells me when I am loosing it to just trust in the lord and to have faith that our time will come when it is right. Thank you babe for always being so positive, and keeping my spirits high. I love you!

We had a really odd but good Thanksgiving and Christmas, I say odd because my mom wasn't here and that is who we usually spend Christmas with so it was kinda lonely without her. We ended up going to Mindy and Shayne's for Christmas, it was really fun to see all the kids open their presents and how excited they are about everything. Christmas really is so much more exciting with children. We also went up to This Is The Place, we got to dress up as pioneers and teach people about the gospel and what the true meaning of Christmas is. It was such a good experience, I really felt my savior's love with me and it really helped me remember the true meaning of Christmas!

January was one of the best month's for me, it was my birthday and Maic's Birthday is just one week away from mine. We got all of our friends together and and went to Tucanos for dinner. You can never go wrong with Tucanos, It's one of Maic's favorite restaurants.
At the end of January my mom finally came home from her mission!!! I couldn't wait for this day to arrive! It was such a blessing for all of us for her to go on a mission and serve the lord. She made such a great missionary she just beams from ear to ear, and she has such a wonderful glow about her even though she has been really sick.

February was so much fun Maic and I have just been adjusting to living at home with my mom and helping her unpack all of her stuff, there was a lot of stuff to say the least!
I typically think Valentine's day is kind of a silly holiday, but this year my opinion has changed, Maic surprised me and took me up to Salt lake, he booked a room at the Marriott downtown where we stayed for the first night of our honeymoon. It was so much fun to act like tourist in Salt lake, we took trax to dinner and walked around the temple and did some shopping of course. It is always so nice to get away for a little bit and recharge your batteries and your relationship. Thanks babe for the amazing Valentines Day you definitely won extra brownie points;)

I absolutely love and adore this little squirt, she has such a cute personality and a lot of it. Ever since she was born I have spent a lot of time with her and we just have a very special bond. I truly feel blessed to be a part of her life!
